PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust temperature estimating device of an internal combustion engine capable of estimating an exhaust gas temperature in an exhaust manifold with high accuracy with a low processing load by using only a general sensor disposed in the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An exhaust temperature estimating device for estimating a temperature of a gas exhausted from an internal combustion engine 1 to an exhaust manifold 5, estimates an exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust manifold 5 on the basis of the rise of a temperature of a gas taken into an intake manifold 4 due to adiabatic compression until the time to be exhausted to the exhaust manifold 5, and the temperature rise due to a quantity of heat obtained by dividing a quantity of heat lost in the exhaust gas, out of the quantity of heat introduced into cylinders 2a-2f, by a flow rate of a dilution gas of the exhaust gas of the exhaust manifold 5. |
