PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improved in performance on ice and uneven-wear resistance.SOLUTION: In a tread part 1, a plurality of circumferential grooves 11 extending in the circumferential direction of a tire and a plurality of lateral grooves 12 extending in the width direction of the tire are provided so as to demarcate a plurality of blocks 13. In each block, a plurality of sipes 20 extending in the width direction of the tire are provided. In each sipe, a protrusion 23 is formed on one of a pair of wall surfaces 21 and 22 facing each other. A recess 24 engaging with the protrusion is formed on the other of the pair of wall surfaces. In a block 13b where a block rigidity index E calculated according to the following equation (1) is relatively large, the height of the protrusion 23 is made relatively small. In a block 13a where the block rigidity index E is relatively small, the height of the protrusion 23 is made relatively large. E=S/(&Sgr;(Ls)×Ds)...(1), where S is a ground contact area (mm) of each block, Ls is a sipe arrangement length (mm) in a block tread, and Ds is a sipe average depth (mm). |
