PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abnormal sound when water flows into an outlet pipe, in a muffler.SOLUTION: A main muffler 10 is equipped with an inlet pipe 15, an outer shell 20, and an outlet pipe 40. The outlet pipe is a member for leading exhaust gas flowing into the outer shell 20 from an internal combustion engine 150 into atmosphere outside an automobile, and a member formed in a cylindrical shape having a pair of opening end portions, as a whole. The outlet pipe 40 has a plurality of vent holes 52 penetrating from an outer surface to an inner surface, along an outer periphery. The main muffler 10 is equipped with a suppressing mechanism for suppressing water Wt flowing into the outlet pipe 40 through the specified vent holes 54 which are the vent holes 52 opposite to a bottom surface of the outer shell 20, among the plurality of vent holes 52. |
