PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive contaminant decontamination method and device which achieve the substantial and efficient decontamination of leaves, branches, fallen leaves, and bark.SOLUTION: A radioactive contaminant decontamination method includes: a mixing step of preparing a mixture by mixing a crushed radioactive contaminant and a porous material; and a carbonization/volume reduction step of generating quantitatively-reduced carbide by exposing the mixture to superheated steam at a temperature of maintaining stable molecular structure of the porous material. |
