PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-shielding body detection device which more easily identifies the position of a light-shielding body in more details, and an operation display device.SOLUTION: The light-shielding body detection device comprises: a light-emitting element that emits a light beam having diffusivity; a plurality of light receiving elements that receive the light beam emitted by the light-emitting element; a detection part that detects the result of light reception of the plurality of light receiving elements disposed in a range where the light beam is diffused, when the light-emitting element emits the light beam; and a determination part that determines the presence or absence of a light-shielding body on lines connecting the light-emitting element and the plurality of light receiving elements, depending on the result of light reception detected by the detection part. |
