PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of stably suppressing the rotation of a washing nozzle so that it rotates at a low speed, thereby efficiently performing washing.SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes a washing nozzle 7 which rotates by jet force generated by pressurizing washing water W in a washing tank 2 where a dish 3 is accommodated, by a washing pump 6 and jetting it into the washing tank 2, and a suppression device 30 which suppresses the rotation of the washing nozzle 7 to decrease the number of rotations. The suppression device 30 includes a water wheel 31 which stirs a liquid while rotating, and an acceleration unit 32 which accelerates and transmits the rotation of the washing nozzle 7 to the water wheel 31. The washing nozzle 7, as it can rotate at a low speed in a state where a rotation torque sufficient to stabilize the rotation is maintained, can supply a sufficient quantity of water during washing per rotation of the washing nozzle 7 even to the dish 3 to which stains requiring a large volume of washing water W is attached, and attain a predetermined washing performance in a short time, thereby efficiently washing the dish 3. |
