PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog electronic timepiece which is capable of adjusting a hand position to a desired position easily and reliably upon completion of fast-forward operation.SOLUTION: An analog electronic timepiece includes: a stepping motor; a wheel train mechanism; a hand; drive control means which performs an operation control; control content changing means which suspends, if an operation instruction for causing rotational movement of the hand to another movement target position is obtained while performing an operation control for causing rotational movement of the hand to a movement target position, the operation control and changes the control content to an operation control that corresponds to the operation instruction; and hand position adjusting means which performs, if, upon completion of the operation control based on the changed control content, the stepping motor is performing a reverse drive operation for causing rotation movement of the hand in a reverse direction during a series of the operation controls being performed, a predetermined position adjustment operation for eliminating a difference which is generated between a hand position and a rotation count input provided from the stepping motor, and which occurs because such rotation input provided from the stepping motor is not transmitted to the hand due to a gap between wheels in the wheel train mechanism. |
