PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, suppressed in effect of an oxide on a positive electrode active material surface and having a core-shell structure; a method for producing the positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material of the present invention is a positive electrode active material having a core-shell structure, and has a continuously-connected fine pore size distribution curve where the horizontal axis indicates a fine pore size and the vertical axis indicates a log differential fine pore volume. A producing method of the present invention is a method for producing a positive electrode active material having a core-shell structure, and includes the steps of: wet-cracking an inorganic oxide and an inorganic composite oxide that have been produced, using an organic acid aqueous solution; and firing the cracked body under an inert atmosphere. |
