PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel material useful as an n-type thermoelectric conversion material exhibiting excellent thermoelectric conversion performance and having excellent durability in a medium temperature region.SOLUTION: A metallic material is represented by a compositional formula:MnMSiAl(in the formula, M is one kind or more than one kind of element selected from a group consisting of Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu, 2.0≤x≤3.5, 0≤y≤1.4, 2.5≤x+y≤3.5, 3.5≤m≤4.5, 1.5≤n≤2.49), and has a negative Seebeck coefficient and an electric resistivity of 2 m&OHgr; cm or less at temperatures of 25°C or higher, and crystallinity. |
