PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a set of cutting inserts comprising cutting inserts with different corner radii formed by one type of press metal mold, which does not form a recess in corner blades.SOLUTION: At corner portions C of rake faces 2 are formed convex-curved corner blades 6 and on rake faces 2a contacting with the corner blades 6 are provided with positive rake angles so as to gradually retreat with increasing distance from the corner blades 6. On the rake face 2a is manufactured a cutting insert D as a basis, in which a circular arch, which has a larger radius than a corner radius R10 of the corner blades 6 and internally contacts with cutting blades 7 and 8 formed on both ends of the corner blades 6 when viewed from the opposing direction of the rake faces 2a, is formed to extend on one flat surface. Subsequently, flank faces continued to the corner blade 6 of the cutting insert D as a basis are polishing processed to form a corner blades 6 with larger corner radii R11 and R12 than the corner radius R10 of the corner blade 6 along the circular arch. |
