PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid repellent film having excellent liquid repellency to ink, a formation method of the liquid repellent film capable of producing the liquid repellent film, a nozzle plate including the liquid repellent film, a droplet discharge head and a droplet discharge device.SOLUTION: A liquid repellent film 26 which is formed in order to impart liquid repellency to a substrate 25 includes a compound originated in a coupling agent having a metal M. The compound is connected to the substrate 25, and represented by following general formula (1) when the metal M is a trivalent metal, and further represented by following general formula (2) when the metal M is a tetravalent metal. |
