PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning type co-focal endoscope system and a processor for a scanning type co-focal endoscope, capable of automatically setting suitable parameters used in exciting-light-control for reducing discoloration of fluorescent light.SOLUTION: A scanning type co-focal endoscope system includes: an optical fiber for emitting exciting-light to a subject; optical fiber scanning means for spirally rotation-driving an emission end of the optical fiber; light source control means for controlling exciting light on the basis of parameters; a co-focal pinhole disposed at a position conjugative with a converging point of the exciting light; an image signal detection means for detecting an image signal by receiving fluorescent light generated from the subject excited by the exciting light; and image generation means for generating a co-focal image from the image signal. The light source control means changes the parameters on the basis of the co-focal image generated by the image generation means.
