PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control device of an internal combustion engine, capable of effectively avoiding excessive fuel consumption not contributing to increase in torque and of improving fuel consumption and drivability, in a situation where torque of an internal combustion engine is not increased despite of an increase in an air intake amount.SOLUTION: An estimated torque characteristic line that represents an estimated torque TRQESTi estimated to be output from an engine 3 is set for a plurality of temporary air intake amounts GAIRPRVi (Figures 4, and 8 to 11). When a non-increase point PMAX of an estimated torque TRQEST is determined to be on the estimated torque characteristic line, an estimated torque TRQESTi corresponding to the non-increase point PMAX is set as a limit torque TRQLMT (steps 52 and 56). However, when a target torque TRQCMD is larger than the limit torque TRQLMT, a temporary air intake amounts GAIRPRVi corresponding to the non-increase point PMAX is set as a target air intake amount GAIRCMD (steps 57, 78, and 79). |
