PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable electrophotographic photoreceptor configured to maintain high image quality with less image defect for a long time, while proving mechanical durability (wear resistance, scratch resistance, or the like), electric characteristics (charging stability, sensitivity stability, residual potential characteristics or the like), environmental stability (especially high-temperature high-humidity environment), gas resistance(NOx or the like), even when repeatedly used.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive support. In an outermost surface layer of the photosensitive layer, a compound having three or more [(Tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy] methyl groups in an aromatic ring of a charge transport compound having the aromatic ring is formed of a three-dimensional cross-linking film formed by partially cutting and polymerizing [(Tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy] methyl group with an acid catalyst, the acid catalyst being a sulfonic acid amine salt to be obtained by reacting sulfonic acid with amine. The sulfonic acid amine salt has pH of 4 or more and 7 or less in 0.01 mol/l aqueous solution. |
