PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical body having an anti-reflection function, which can be formed without arranging a low refraction index layer and a high refraction index layer in layers by the repetition of successive coating.SOLUTION: An optical body 1 having an anti-reflection function comprises a substrate 11, and a fine structure layer 12 provided on the surface of this substrate 11. The fine structure layer 12 has finely rugged surface having fluctuation. The arithmetic average roughness Ra of the finely rugged surface is not greater than 25 nm.
