PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rolled material from being semi-finished due to tracking displacement.SOLUTION: A rolling method includes the steps of: stopping a taper addition and holding a roll gap in the case where a plate thickness control device 14 performs the taper addition when a rolling load reaches a predetermined abnormal load, and re-opening the taper addition when the rolling load reaches a predetermined hold release load; and starting the taper addition when not performing the taper addition. Accordingly, even if the tracking displacement occurs in the rolling for taper addition, the load is suppressed to exceed an upper-limit value of equipment and serious failure can be avoided, and thereby the rolled material can be prevented from being semi-finished due to the tracking displacement. |
