PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device, a method for assembling the electric power steering device, and a belt type deceleration mechanism, enabling time/work for processing an output shaft to be reduced.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device includes: a motor 21; a belt type deceleration mechanism 30; and a ball screw mechanism. The belt type deceleration mechanism 30 includes a driving pulley 31 and a driven pulley. The driving pulley 31 has a through hole 32 extending in the axial direction. The through hole 32 is provided with tool connecting parts 34 on the insides of both end parts in the axial direction to connect a holding tool 200 for holding an output shaft 22, and provided with an output shaft press-in part 33 between the two tool connecting parts 34. The output shaft 22 of the motor 21 is pressed in the output shaft press-in part 33. |
