PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal blower capable of effectively suppressing noises resulting from the shape of a tongue part or a bell-mouth formed on a scroll casing.SOLUTION: The centrifugal blower includes a fan 3 consisting of a bottom plate 6 fixed to a rotating shaft, a plurality of blades 8 having base parts fixed to the outer periphery of the bottom plate, and annular rims 9 provided coaxially with the bottom plate and connected with the front ends of the blades, a scroll casing 4 storing the fan and having a suction port 11 in one axial end side of the rotating shaft, a spiral flow path 19 constructed around the fan in the scroll casing, and a tongue part 16 for suppressing the flow of air from the spiral end to the spiral start of the spiral flow path. A portion of the tongue part on the axial other end side of the rotating shaft is inclined so that its dimension extending in the counter rotating direction of the fan is gradually larger toward the axial other end side of the rotating shaft. |
