PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-primary color liquid crystal display device that can obtain a field of view angle control display with a relatively simple configuration, and can perform a bright display.SOLUTION: A multi-primary color liquid crystal display device (100) comprises: a multi-primary color liquid crystal display panel (10); and a signal conversion circuit (20) that converts three primary color image signals to a multi-primary color image signal. The signal conversion circuit (20) has first and second multi-primary color conversion parts (21, 22) that generate mutually different first and second multi-primary color image signals on the basis of the same three primary color image signals. A display by the second multi-primary color image signal to be generated by the second multi-primary color conversion part (22) has field of view angle dependency larger than a display by the first multi-primary color image signal to be generated by the first multi-primary color conversion part (21) has. and in one pixel of a plurality of pixels of the multi-primary color liquid crystal display panel (10), the display is performed by the second multi-primary color image signal. |
