PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress communication traffic increase between a server and a client terminal, and to provide information appropriate for a user of the client terminal relating to an error condition of peripheral equipment.SOLUTION: A server 30 stores detailed information on each error status occurring in an MFP 10 (for example, a detailed solution). In receiving an error status from the MFP 10, the server 30 determines the detail level of error information each of PCs 40a-40c should display on the basis of an MFP use state of the user (for example, the number of error resolution and the duration time of the same error) for each PC, and transmits the determined detail level to the user along with the error status. At that time, if the detail level is high, the detailed information itself is transmitted. The PCs display the error status according to the transmitted detail level, and additionally display the detailed information transmitted by the server 30 when the detail level is high. |
