PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly write information in an IC tag by preventing erroneous information from being written in the IC tag.SOLUTION: A printer 1 is constituted such that a medium continuously loaded with IC tags with intervals can be mounted. The printer includes: a tag reading/writing device 46 for wirelessly communicating with the IC tags; a conveyance section 52 for conveying the medium; and a control section 54 for controlling them. Under the control of the control section 54, information is written in one IC tag, and the next IC tag is conveyed to a position where the IC tag can communicate with the tag reading/writing device 46, and tag identification information is read from the next IC tag and stored, and when information is written in the next IC tag, the communicable IC tag is detected, and the detected tag identification information of the IC tag is collated with the stored tag identification information, and when the collation is successful, the IC tag is defined as an information writing object. |
