PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor drive device with high reliability and assured quality for simply measuring backlash of a speed reducer gear at a state that a gear is incorporated into a housing.SOLUTION: In an in-wheel motor drive device composed of: an electric motor A which is arranged at an inside space part of a wheel; and a wheel hub C which is connected to the electric motor A via a parallel shaft gear reducer, by providing a housing 7 for storing the parallel shaft gear reducer with a through hole 24 facing an end face of a counter shaft 19 of counter gears 22, 23 constituting the parallel shaft gear reducer, measurement of the backlash is allowed by attaching a measurement rod 28 of the backlash to the counter shaft 19 through the through hole 24 from the outside of the housing 7 even after incorporating the parallel shaft gear reducer in the housing 7. |
