PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery, which is capable of enhancing safety, reliability, and life characteristics of a lithium secondary battery by improving discharge characteristics at a low temperature of the battery, and to provide a lithium secondary battery including the same.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery according to the present invention contains: a lithium salt; a nonaqueous organic solvent; and a tris(trialkylsilyl)borate as an additive. The nonaqueous organic solvent contains a low melting point solvent having a melting point of -50°C or lower and an ionic conductivity of 6 S/cm or higher at 25°C. |
