PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a resistance value of an electrolyte membrane of a fuel cell with high accuracy by a current cutoff method.SOLUTION: In the present method for measuring resistance of an electrolyte membrane as for a fuel cell having the electrolyte membrane and electrode catalyst layers disposed on both sides of the electrolyte membrane, from an energized state in which a current is passed to a load connected to the fuel cell, the current of the load is cutoff, and a voltage between both terminals of the fuel cell at the point of time when a reading time has elapsed from the point of time when the current is cutoff is measured to measure the resistance of the electrolyte membrane. A voltage drop reference value that is an amount of a voltage drop caused by a difference in properties of the electrode catalyst layers is found, a voltage drop fluctuation value at the time when the voltage drop is caused in the electrode catalyst layers by driving the fuel cell is found, based on the voltage drop reference value and the voltage drop fluctuation value, the resistance of the electrolyte membrane is measured by changing the reading time. |
