PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head and a thermal printer which can reduce a possibility of separation of an insulator layer from a substrate.SOLUTION: A thermal head X1 is provided with: a substrate 11; a first resistor layer 13 which is provided on the substrate 11 and a part of which functions as a first heat generating part 13a; a first wiring electrode 15 which is provided on the substrate 11 and is electrically connected to the first resistor layer 13; and an insulator layer 14 which is provided on the substrate 11 and covers the first heat generating part 13a. The first wiring electrode 15 has a first end part 15Ba which is positioned on the insulator layer 14 and sandwiches the insulator layer 14 by the substrate 11 and the first resistor layer 13. |
