PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire shape inspection method and a tire shape inspection device that can obtain a measurement result high in repeatability.SOLUTION: A tire shape inspection method for inspecting a shape of a tread surface by detecting height data on the tread surface composed of a convex block having a ground surface formed at an apex and a concave groove sandwiched by the convex blocks is configured to comprise: a ground surface acquisition step of acquiring a change in a height of the ground surface by eliminating height data not included in predetermined height data including an average value of the height data from the detected height data on the tread surface; a height change interpolation step of interpolating a part having the height data eliminated by the ground surface acquisition step with a height included in a predetermined height range in the change in the height of the ground surface acquired by the ground surface acquisition step, and acquiring the interpolated change in the height of the ground surface; and a runout value acquisition step of acquiring a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value in the interpolated change in the height of the ground surface as a runout value showing the shape of the tread surface. |
