PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storage device capable of efficiently operating a system without stopping the device in an upstream side, even if detected in an improper position such as tray height detection, in a sheet discharge device with a tray lifting function and a tray jog function.SOLUTION: The sheet storage device includes tray lifting means for lifting a paper loading surface in a loading direction and jog shifting means for offsetting the paper loading surface in the paper discharge cross direction. The sheet storage device also includes control means which controls a movement to raise both means to a predetermined height position of a stack tray and a jog shift movement so as to give priority to the jog shifting movement of the paper loading surface or perform the jog shifting movement simultaneously with tray lifting when receiving an offset instruction signal. |
