PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device which uses shaft bearings capable of high speed rotation with a dmn value of 1,000,000 or greater and which prevents flinger deformation due to centrifugal force, while maintaining a satisfactory waterproofing function, and to provide a flinger for the spindle device.SOLUTION: A spindle device 40 includes: a cylindrical boss part 42 externally fitted to a rotational shaft 11; a disk part 43 extending from a front end part of the boss part 42 in a shaft direction to an outside in a radial direction, and oppositely disposed to a front surface of a housing H in the shaft direction (a front surface 12a in the shaft direction of an outer ring pressing 12 of a front side shaft bearing) via a gap; a circular part 44 extending from an outer end part of the disk part 43 in a radial direction to the other end side in the shaft direction, and oppositely arranged to an outer peripheral surface of the housing H (an outer peripheral surface 12b of the outer ring pressing of the front side bearing, and an outer peripheral surface 13a of an external cylinder 13) via a gap; a flinger body 41 made from a metallic material; and a ring member 70 made from a carbon fiber composite material and externally fitted to the circular part 44. |
