PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a recommended program display method capable of recommending a program even by an apparatus being displayed at a store front or an apparatus just after being purchased.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus comprises a storage control part, an acquisition part, and a display control part. The storage control part stores an operation history relating to programs, in a storage unit. The acquisition part acquires preference information of a user, on the basis of the operation history stored in the history unit, with preset timing. The display control part selects as a recommended program a program based on the preference information, and displays the selected recommended program on the display unit. If the number of the operation histories is smaller than a preset number, the display control part selects as the recommended program a program meeting a predetermined condition. |
