PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a steel wire and a wire stranding machine using the method that can suppress a variation in an amount of deformed shape against a steel wire constituting the steel cord.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a steel cord uses a tubular type wire stranding machine comprising a rotating barrel 3 and a deformed shaping jig 5 providing a deformed shape to a steel wire, the barrel and the jig being spaced from each other, and comprising a plurality of deformed shaping pins 6 in which the deformed shaping jigs 5 are arranged in a jig-zag form. A contact length between the deformed shaping pin 6 and the steel wire is 2.00 mm or less. |
