PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring a water leakage amount, capable of easily measuring the water leakage amount without using power, without a power supply, and without any operation, the device being easily manufacturable, and a method for measuring the water leakage amount.SOLUTION: Water leaked from a dam is captured by a funnel 1, leaked water defoamed by a defoaming tank 2 is guided from a lower part of the deforming tank 2 to a lower part of a measuring tank 3, and the measuring tank is provided with multistage discharge ports 4 opened in a side face thereof. A water level is raised by a quantity corresponding to water leakage amount flowing into the measuring tank, and is drained in order from the discharge port of the lowermost end. When the water leakage amount is larger than the water amount drained from the discharge port, the water surface of the measuring tank is further raised and a water pressure applied to the discharge port of the lowermost end is increased, thus increasing effluent. In spite of it, when the water leakage amount increases and the water surface is raised, water is drained from the discharge port of a next stage. Such a situation is repeated and then the number of discharge ports draining water and the water leakage amount are balanced. Accordingly, a flow quantity can be correctly known by counting the number of discharge ports draining water. |
