PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for enabling smooth photographing by reducing an unnecessary mechanism movement of an image capturing device having an image sensor moving mechanism which enables a second shooting mode for taking multiple frames while moving an image sensor in addition to a first shooting mode for normal shooting.SOLUTION: An image capturing device includes; an image sensor 8 on which an object light flux forms an image; focus detection means 22; first moving means 11 for moving the image sensor along an optical axis; a focusing lens 13 which makes the object light flux form an image on an imaging surface of the image sensor in accordance with a signal from the focus detection means; and second moving means 14 for moving the focusing lens along the optical axis. Control means 18 has a function for switching between a first shooting mode, for shooting without moving the image sensor, and a second shooting mode, for taking multiple frames while moving the image sensor, before shooting. An expected imaging plane in the second shooting mode is at a different position along the optical axis from an expected imaging plane in the first shooting mode. |
