The body made of sheet of aluminum or aluminum alloy having an elongation at fracture of greater than 30% and tensile strength of 150 MPa, is claimed. The body has a curvature of less than 50 mm and/or pressing depth of greater than 150 mm. The average thickness of the body is greater than 1.5 mm. Independent claims are included for: (1) a vehicle body element; and (2) a method for manufacturing a pressed body for a motor vehicle.
