The method involves positioning a turbine (T) at an outlet (3) of a heat exchanger of a heat exchanger system (ECH) that is connected to an alternator. A part or entire gases produced at the outlet of the heat exchanger is directed towards the turbine to produce electricity (E) from the alternator. The entire or a part of the electricity is fed to an electric supply requiring installation i.e. ventilator, that is attached with the heat exchanger. A cold energy is transferred to products to be cooled by exchanging between air surrounding the products with cold walls of the heat exchanger. An independent claim is also included for an installation for implementing liquid carbon dioxide as a cryogenic fluid to transfer cold energy to products to be cooled.
