The arrangement has a drawing spindle (9) axially movable relative to a contact surface (6), and a plastic ductile casing (2) fastenable to the spindle. A pressure pad (7) is assigned to the spindle to temporarily support the plastic ductile casing. A coupling unit is assigned to the drawing spindle and the pressure pad such that the pressure pad is movable in a track section slowly than the drawing spindle and with same speed as the drawing spindle in another track section during an axial movement of the drawing spindle. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing and/or clamping a body.
