The present invention relates to a gesture recognition apparatus using a see-through display. The gesture recognition apparatus using a see-through display comprises: a first camera which is located on one side of a display and photographing a user's gaze; a second camera which is locate on the other side of the display in order to photograph the opposite side of the first camera and photographing user's hands; a processing unit for tracking the locations of the photographed gaze and hands, analyzing the gaze movement and the hand gesture, reading a command corresponding to the analyzed result, and performing the command; a see-through display for providing the result of performing the command for the user, wherein the user is able to see gestures of the user's hands which are on the other side of the see-through display, and the gestures are accurately recognized by positioning the user's hands which hide a user's view on the opposite side of the user.
