The insulation board comprises two major surfaces (1,2) that respectively form inside and outer side of a self-supporting channel. The major surfaces are vertically extended into a plane in which axles and four edges (3) are formed. An insulating core is covered on the major surfaces by two covering layers. Several marks (9) are provided on the covering layer of the major surface (1) and used as a cutting element for making the cuts. A lid portion or a side wall of the channel is provided with an inlet edge and an outlet edge. An independent claim is included for self-supporting HVAC channel.
