摘要 The present invention relates to an intelligent wheelchair control system by recognizing user gestures and surroundings. The objective of the present invention is to provide a wheelchair control system capable of: controlling the moving direction, forward movement, and stopping of a wheelchair by recognizing user gestures using the angle of the face and the shape of the lip of a user; and presenting a direction to avoid obstacles by automatically detecting obstacles around the wheelchair. To meet the objective, the present invention includes: an image input unit which receives images to recognize user gestures and surrounding obstacles; and a control unit which determines a route to avoid the obstacles, and controls the wheelchair based on the images inputted through the image input unit.
