The present invention relates to a local area mVoIP communication method using Wi-Fi and a system for the same and executing a voice call between the users located within the local area by including a step of setting the Wi-Fi of a mobile terminal as an access point (AP) mode, a direct connection mode, or a tethering mode and a step of executing the voice communication using the mVoIP. According to the present invention, a user conveniently installs an application in a mobile device (smartphone, smart tablet, and etc) in which the wireless Wi-Fi is mounted by downloading the application from an application store. When a 3G or 4G network is not smoothly operated (multiple users gathering, or radio wave sensitivity reduction, and etc), the users located within the local area may simply execute the voice call for free and without using the repeater (base station, etc).
