[Problem] To efficiently charge a battery system with vehicle-generated electricity and to efficiently feed the charged electricity to the vehicle side while using a simple circuit configuration. [Solution] A vehicular battery system is configured by connecting a sub-battery (2) in parallel to a lead-acid battery (1). In this battery system, the open circuit voltage-depth of discharge characteristics of the sub-battery (2) are such that the sub-battery has a depth of discharge at which charging thereof is possible when the lead-acid battery (1) is at an upper limit voltage and a depth of discharge at which discharging thereof is possible when the lead-acid battery (1) is at a lower limit voltage. |
