Disclosed are a network element detection method and device. The method includes: detecting the current state of at least one network element from among network elements which are connected to a multimedia message gateway system; and performing corresponding processing on the detected network element according to the detection result. Also disclosed at the same time is a network element detection device. Using the technical solution of the present invention, by detecting network elements at the periphery of a multimedia message gateway system, and executing a corresponding processing flow according to the detection result, the serviceability and the user experience of the multimedia message gateway system can be improved. |
