A torsional vibration damper with a trapezoidal centrifugal force pendulum for damping torsional vibrations comprises a support plate that can be rotated about a rotational axis and a pendulum mass that is movably fixed to the support plate such that the pendulum mass can carry out a movement comprising a displacement with respect to the support plate and a rotation about an additional rotational axis. Furthermore, the centrifugal force pendulum comprises a spring element that is arranged on the support plate radially outside of the rotational axis. The pendulum mass has a U-shape with two limbs, and the limbs lie on different sides of the spring element on the rotational plane of the support plate. |
