PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger improved in heat exchanging efficiency by allowing a fluid to flow while expanding in the width direction of flat tubes.SOLUTION: An oil cooler is configured by stacking flat tubes 2 respectively formed by brazing a lower plate 21, a fin plate 23 and an upper plate 22, in several stages. Oil flow channels are defined inside of the flat tubes 2, oil flows along the longitudinal direction of the flat tubes 2, and a cooling water flow channel is defined between two adjacent flat tubes. At an end portion as an oil inlet or outlet, the flat tube 2 of the lowermost stage has a single opening portion 25A, and the flat tubes 2 of the second and succeeding stages respectively have a pair of opening portions 25 and 28 symmetrically disposed. The flowing-in oil flows while expanding in the width direction through the pair of opening portions 25 and 28 in the flat tubes 2 of the second and succeeding stages, thus the entire width direction of the flat tubes 2 can be effectively utilized for heat exchange. |
