The present invention relates to a cooling apparatus having a predictive control function of a heating temperature and an operation method thereof. The cooling apparatus according to the present invention includes a heating unit, a cooling unit, a current sensing unit, a voltage sensing unit, a temperature sensing unit, and a cooling control unit. The heating unit emits heat by operating when operation power is supplied. The cooling unit cools down the heating unit by responding to first and second cooling control signals. The current sensing unit senses current which is applied to the heating unit. The voltage sensing unit senses voltage which is applied to the heating unit. The temperature sensing unit senses the temperature of the heating unit. The cooling control unit outputs the first and the second cooling control signals by responding to a current sensing signal received from the current sensing unit and a voltage sensing signal received from the voltage sensing unit and selectively executes one between the output operation and output stopping operation of the first and the second cooling control signals by responding to a temperature sensing signal received from the temperature sensing unit. The cooling apparatus and the operation method thereof according to the present invention are able to suppress the dramatic temperature increase of the heating unit in an initial operation and operate stably without a distortion by making the heating unit reach a heat equilibrium state rapidly since the operation of a cooling system is controlled by sensing the temperature of the heating unit after operating the cooling system in advance by sensing current which is applied to the heating unit.
