PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device capable of selecting an optimal preliminary discharge position even when a recording medium whose size is different from a set size of a recording medium is used.SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device detects the presence or absence of the recording medium at a first position, which is an inner side from a predicted passing position on a platen in which an edge part of the recording medium is predicted to pass through if it is the recording medium of set width, and a second position, which is an outer side from the predicted passing position, and determines a position to perform preliminary discharge operation from among a plurality of preliminary discharge positions on the platen on the basis of a detection result. |
