PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device configured to easily and reliably detect a position of a detection pattern even when a color detection pattern on a white detection pattern with a shift at a predetermined pitch using white toner in place of black toner, to detect color misregistration.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a medium conveying part that conveys a medium; a plurality of image forming parts for forming a multicolor image by sequentially overlapping toner images on the medium conveyed by the medium conveying part; and detection means having a light-receiving part that receives light reflected from a detection pattern image including a first toner image formed by one image forming part using first toner and a second toner image formed by the other image forming part using second toner different from the first toner. In the detection pattern image, an image width in a vertical direction with respect to the conveyance direction of the medium is smaller than a diameter of a light-receiving port of the light-receiving part. |
