PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniformity.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire manufacturing method includes the green tire forming step of sticking an unvulcanized carcass ply 6A to the outer surface of a rigid core 20. The green tire forming step includes the strip ply forming step of sequentially cutting a long band-like ply 12 from its tip in a ply width direction to continuously form a plurality of first strip ply pieces 13 which are strip sheetlike, and then continuously forming a plurality of second strip ply pieces 14 which are strip sheetlike, and the carcass forming step of forming the unvulcanized carcass ply 6A by using the first and second strip ply pieces 13 and 14. The second strip ply piece 14 does not overlap the first strip ply piece 13 on a tire equator Co, but directly overlaps the first strip ply piece 13 at the radial-direction inner end 14i of the second strip ply piece 14. |
