PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device suppressing a temperature rise of a controller and having good steering feeling added with responsiveness in a simple method.SOLUTION: When rotation angular speed of a motor calculated by motor rotation angular speed arithmetic means is lower than prescribed speed and steering torque detected by steering torque detection means is larger than prescribed torque, there is no need of emergency in steering and high responsiveness is not required, but since a current command value becomes large, a switching frequency of a switching element is reduced and gain of a current control system is reduced. When the rotation angular speed of the motor calculated by the motor rotation angular speed arithmetic means is higher than the prescribed speed, there is a need of emergency in steering and high responsiveness is required, thereby increasing the switching frequency of the switching element and increasing gain of the current control system. |
