Provided is an ion selection method whereby it is possible to isolate a target ion in a short time and with high isolation ability, and to retain same in an ion trap. In a digital ion trap, after selectively retaining, by rough isolation using FNF signals, etc., ions of a broad m/z range near a target ion (S11), low mass-side unnecessary ions are removed with high isolation ability by changing a duty ratio of a square wave voltage (S12). Moreover, high mass-side unnecessary ions are removed with high isolation ability using resonance excitation ejection (S13). |
