The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a shield can by pressing a sheet-metal supplied from a roll and a shield can manufactured thereby. In order to resolve the problems due to continuously accumulated errors generated during conveyance in applying the progressive pressing method to electronic devices which are to be partly perforated as the conventional shield can, the present invention makes pitch holes in the sheet-metal through a piercing process before pressing, conveys uniformly the sheet metal with a given interval between the pitch holes, and initializes the position of perforation by the press for each of the pitch holes, so that the accumulation of errors is prevented, thus significantly improving the yield and quality of the products.
